This site seeks to explain what Rural Renaissance funding is, what it means for the West of England, and how you can apply for it!
Rural Renaissance is a 3 year rural regeneration programme, which started in July 2005, and is run by the West of England Rural Renaissance Partnership. This programme is funded by the South West of England Development Agency.
The programme focuses on strengthening the economic links already in place by seeking to help overcome relative rural economic disadvantage. It aims to do this by developing rural economic inclusion through new opportunities and prosperity for rural businesses and communities.
Rural Renaissance aims to help businesses, or people who live or work in our rural area to improve the local economy through improved access, skills and business development.
The West of England Rural Renaissance programme is available until March 2009 for projects that promote economic regeneration in the rural areas of Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset. It is managed by a Partnership of local public, private, community and voluntary organisations working together.
This website aims to tell you all you need to know about the Rural Renaissance programme in the West of England. Please contact us with any queries about the scheme.
Running alongside the Rural Renaissance Programme, is the MRD fund, which is designed to promote transport, Accessibility, Mixed use facilities,
